1 Mile Walk at Onondaga Lake Park & Long Branch Park
Sunday, May 1, 2011
By the time I reached Syracuse the sky had cleared and it was a gorgeous sunny day. Drove by Onondaga Lake Park and saw that the lake was the highest I've ever seen it, flooding much of the park visible from the Thruway. So of course I had to stop and take some pictures...
The flooding has definitely made a real mess, with all the flotsam and jetsam that usuually ends up along the shoreline off in the grass. It will definitely take a lot of work the clean up, once the waters recede. The ducks and geese, on the other hand, didn't seem to mind the situation at all.
