I had planned to go for a ride and/or a run today, but the heat and humidity kicked my butt... and I finally managed to drag my sorry backside out the door for a walk in the evening, which was much cooler than it's been over the past few days. I walked a short loop through the Karner Barrens of the Pine Bush, starting at the Discovery Center and up to the top of the tallest dune, then down and around by the road to get back. One thing that stood out along the way was all the towhees calling... I'm used to there being a few, but this was non-stop towhees, towhees, towhees.
