... despite the best efforts of those damn yellowjackets. I've haven't had such an extreme reaction previously, so it's likely part of the problem was getting stung multiple times - they got me in three spots, and I suspect based on what I was feeling they may have stung me more than once in each spot.

But the benadryl did the trick and knocked out the scary severe reaction. Now I've just got to put up with swollen, itchy sting sites for the next week or so. And avoid getting stung again for as long as possible. And maybe plan on getting to a doctor for a prescription for an epi pen.
