... the multitude of egrets scattered about the North Spring Pool at Montezuma NWR, brilliant white against the greens and browns of the marshy pool.

... the dead tree with its branches covered in blackbirds from top-to-bottom.

... the golden full moon floating above the horizon just past dusk.
