Why oh why would I choose to run this week's long run on trails which I attempted to run 12 years ago (when I was lighter and in better shape!) and declared unrunnable? Ok, the answer to that one is obvious - I'm an idiot. Which is how I ended up "running" (ie. speed hiking) for most of 18.5 miles and up and down five mountains today...
