Albany in the Summer

I'll readily admit I'm not a fan of Albany (or any city, for that matter.) I very much look forward to the day when I finally move out to a place in the countryside, even though it will mean a longer drive to and from work.

But tonight as I walked to the grocery store and back, I noticed one thing I do enjoy about my neighborhood this time of year - many of the college students are away, leaving the streets quiet and empty. Not having as many people around is a real plus. Too bad it will go back to normal in a few more weeks when college classes start up again.
