2.1 Mile Walk Around Buckingham Pond

Fortunately I planned ahead and brought my screw shoes with me to Buckingham Pond, because there was very little of the path that wasn't covered with a thick layer of ice. As a result I had the path pretty much to myself the entire time.

The pond itself was a different story. Since they opened it up to skating it's been pretty busy, mainly with kids doing the hockey thing. I have mixed feelings about that... on the one hand, the more the pond is seen as a local resource the better, but on the other - it's a lot quieter and nicer to look at without areas cleared for skating and people out on the ice.
