THAT'S A LOT OF CROWS...
7.9 Mile Run Around Albany
Friday, December 16, 2016
The streets were surprisingly quiet tonight for a Friday night... not that I'm complaining.
Near the end of the run I drew near Ridgefield Park and heard crows - they were roosting in the trees on the edge of the park along Partridge Street, at a guess at least a thousand of them. When I stopped to look large groups would take off and fly to one of the other trees... I'm not sure if they're that jumpy all night long or if it was still early enough that many of them were sill awake. I have no doubt their a major nuisance for someone who lives near where they're roosting - but I still think it's cool to see the trees covered with crows.
