I'm really glad I chose to run here last Wednesday, when it was still mostly packed snow - the warmer weather and rain cleared more of the path but also left everything else mostly covered by the uneven ice that formed after the slushy snow that people walked through froze solid.

I got there early enough that there was still enough light for me to see into the tunnel under the railroad tracks and walk through it - I peeked out the other side, but I couldn't be sure there wasn't anyone there and even though there are no "keep out" signs I didn't want to risk getting in trouble for walking through a possible construction zone.

It's going to be really sweet once it's all done and the entire ride through Rotterdam Junction is offroad...
