Make Way for Ducklings

I probably spend far too much time on-line. I know it's one of the reasons I sometimes end up going to bed in the wee hours of the morning... I'll start reading something on-line, which will take me somewhere else, and the next thing I know, a couple of hours have passed.
Today while prowling around Amazon I stumbled across a book recommendation which led me to this post in Pat Rothfuss' Amazon blog (actually, it's syndicated from his personal blog, which is what I've linked it to.) Essentially it's a story about how he stopped what he was doing recently and spent an hour escorting a duck and her ducklings from the center of his town to a nearby river. With a little philosophy and self-examination thrown in. Anyway, I liked it enough to give it a mention here... part of that's because I seem endlessly fascinated by ducks, and part of it's because I think he has some good things to say about the way we live our lives.
Who knows, maybe I'll have to check out Pat's first book (The Name of the Wind) now... he's definitely gotten my interest.
