There's something both cute and comical about seeing the peregrine falcon chicks sacked out in the shade at the back of the nesting box on a day that felt more like July than May...

ABOUT THE PHOTO: A very cold January day on the trails at Ontario County Park in western NY, site of the inaugural Mrs. McCormick's Ice House Tonic trail race. A snowstorm the night before the race made for very challenging running conditions...
