I had actually planned to ride the length of the Corning Preserve but - apparently Watervliet didn't plow their half of the trail (or else Albany stopped before reaching the section Watervliet plowed) because a little less than 2 miles from the boat launch, the trail was covered except for a pair of tire tracks. I might have kept riding if I'd been on my fat bike, but not on my road bike.
Fortunately the South End Connector was clear all the way to the rail trail parking lot, so I was able to cover more miles on that... ended up with a little less than I had planned but more than I expected when I saw the unplowed path in the Corning Preserve.
