WHERE HAS THE DAYLIGHT GONE?

OK, I have a Ph.D. in astrophysics, I know why the days are getting shorter. But both last night and tonight I was struck by the fact that I was driving home at 8:30 from a run... in full darkness.

It seems like just yesterday I was running at 8:30-9:00 at night and it was barely dusk.

I suppose one reason it strikes me is because shorter days are a very visible reminder that summer is coming to an end, and my days of living free and easy are likewise numbered.

Oh, well.
