It blows my mind sometimes that the most reliable place to see wood ducks in Albany is in the heart of the city, at Washington Park Lake.

ABOUT THE PHOTO: A very cold January day on the trails at Ontario County Park in western NY, site of the inaugural Mrs. McCormick's Ice House Tonic trail race. A snowstorm the night before the race made for very challenging running conditions...
